DAY 1: ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – KARATU
Your safari adventure begins with a warm welcome and briefing from your professional driver-guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your Arusha hotel, or another agreed meeting point.
Drive 2-3 hours through scenic countryside to Tarangire National Park. Embark on a game drive across landscapes famed for towering baobabs, sweeping savannahs, and the life giving Tarangire River.
Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant herds, but you'll also encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch in the heart of the park allows you to dine surrounded by wilderness.
