DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arusha/JRO to Tarangire National Park – Game Drive

Your adventure begins with a morning pick-up from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. As you enter the park, the first thing you’ll notice is the majestic baobab trees dotting the landscape. These ancient trees provide shelter for animals and create a unique African backdrop. Tarangire is often called the Elephant Paradise, boasting some of Tanzania’s largest elephant herds. The Tarangire River, a year-round water source, attracts a variety of wildlife, making this park a fantastic introduction to your safari.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire, offering a final chance to spot wildlife in the early golden light. Later, you will drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through Maasai villages and stunning highland landscapes. The Ngorongoro Highlands provide a dramatic contrast to the savannah, featuring lush green forests and rolling hills. Today, you will descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places to see the Big Five and boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

After an exciting morning, you will leave the crater and drive towards Ndutu, the best place to witness the Great Migration calving season.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Ndutu – Witness the Great Migration

Spend a full day tracking the Great Migration in the Ndutu region. This area is the calving ground for thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, making it a prime location for predator-prey interactions.
